Why does my cubed ice come out crushed?
If you select cubed ice and a small amount of crushed ice is dispensed, that is normal. A common cause of the ice maker dispensing crushed ice only is the freezer temperature being too cold. If the freezer temperature is too cold the ice will shatter when it is harvested from the ice maker.
How do you adjust the cube size on an ice maker?
Turn the small adjustment set screw on the upper, middle right hand side of your ice maker a half of a turn with a Phillips or flat head screwdriver, depending on the screw your ice maker has. Turning the screw clockwise will decrease the water level and turning it counterclockwise will increase the water level.
Why is my refrigerator making hollow ice cubes?
Hollow ice cubes can be caused by low water pressure. Low water pressure to the fridge will result in the ice maker filling too slow. This can make it so the ice cube mold does not have enough water in it when it begins to freeze the water to make the ice cubes.
