How long does it take to install an integrated dishwasher?
Can a dishwasher be on a small appliance circuit?
Usually they are circuits installed around the countertops of a kitchen. So you may not use them for general purpose receptacles in other rooms. They should not be used for disposals, dishwashers, etc. Remember you can install more than two small appliance circuits if you see the need.
Does a dishwasher have to be on a GFCI circuit?
GFCI protection is not required for receptacles serving appliances like dishwashers, or convenience receptacles that do not supply countertop surfaces. Receptacles installed within 6 ft of the outside edge of a wet bar sink must also be GFCI-protected [210.8(A)(7)].
What happens if GFCI is wired backwards?
Here’s what happens when somebody wires a GFCI receptacle with the load and line wires reversed: The GFCI will work, in the sense that you can plug in a hair dryer and the hair dryer will blow hot air. If the load and line wiring gets messed up, a ground fault (radio in the tub) won’t trip the GFCI.
