To remove excess solder from a hole:The printed circuit board is held in a vise or PCB holder. The tip of the desoldering bulb is placed behind the hole and the bulb is squeezed. The tip of a heated soldering iron is pressed against the hole to melt the solder.
Can you reuse old solder?
You can reuse solder, though. Heat the solder point and yank the wire out – then touch the new wire and the iron to that solder point and stick the wire back in it. It usually works out just fine, so long as you don’t run the solder away from its original location. Both of those are tricks that I use regularly.
How do you remove solder without suction?
All you need is Techspray desoldering braid (wick) and a soldering iron. Here are the basic instructions: 1) Place the braid over unwanted solder, preferably on the greatest solder build up so that it maximizes the contact of the braid to the surface area of the solder.
